10 Reasons Why Squarespace Is Best For Your Business

As a small business owner, startup founder, entrepreneur or side hustler your business will definitely benefit from an online presence.  Choosing a platform that works for you doesn't have to be hard.  You want something simple, easy to use and easy to maintain, right?
Well my friend, today I am giving you 10 reasons why Squarespace is the best platform for you and your business.

1 | Setting up is easy

If you don't have a custom domain set up or a professional email address, Squarespace can handle both elements. No need to find a hosting company, as its all integrated with Squarespace, as is Google mail.  With a few clicks you will have your website URL and email up and running in no time.

2 | It's responsive

This means your website will look amazing on mobiles, tablets and desktop.  Whether you want a simple website, a portfolio, an online shop, or a blog.  The one thing you definitely want is an ease of reaching your customers and clients.  Every Squarespace template is compatible, cross platform, so there is no need to worry about your website looking broken when viewed on a mobile.

3 | It's beautiful

All the templates are so well designed that you use them as they are or use them as the base of your own website design. Being able to add your own design to each template means you can truly keep your website on brand.

4 | It's affordable

Paying annually is cheaper than monthly.  There are 3 packages and it's easy to upgrade if you need to. Obviously, the package details are different depending on price, but they all offer 20+ pages and galleries, 2+ contributors, fully integrated commerce, 2+GB storage, mobile and tablet compatibility, free custom domain and 24/7 customer support.  You really do get a lot for your money!

5 | It's user-friendly

One of the best things about Squarespace is that it's user-friendly.  You don't need any coding knowledge, but if you did want to add custom coding you can!  The drag and drop feature makes it easy to build pages, add images, and posts are easy to publish too.  ITs very intuitive so you don't have to spend AGES trying to work out how to do "stuff".

6 | Its easy to maintain

There are no worries with regards to plugins, or "backend coding".  Making changes are done at the click of a button.
One of the great things about it is that you can see the changes you are making, visually, so you can sanity check it and then when you are happy, press the "Save" button and its done. Change made.
The good thing about Squarespace is that it will do as much or as little as you want it to. It works with you, for you - if that makes sense!

7 | Its flexible

Although I totally recommend knowing and understanding the what you want from your website, Squarespace is great at being flexible in terms of templates.

8 | Support is good

Rest assured that if you ever need any help directly from the guys at Squarespace they will be there. To date, I haven't actually hit a spot where I think "OMG, I need some serious help here!" - I think that's probably because of all the reasons above really. However saying that I have had queries and questions and been "stuck" occasionally.  In that situation, I've easily found answers!

9 | Social media integration is on point

You don't have to be on ALL the different social media platforms out there, but I imagine you are on at least 1 - Facebook!  With Squarespace, you have an easy way of integrating all your social media links on your site. The widget is customisable to suit your needs and is so straightforward to link them together.

10 | It's secure

No spammy comments. Nothing. Speaking from experience I haven't had any issues with security. It's been peace of mind knowing that Squarespace is doing a fab job of keeping my content secure and I haven't had to do anything "extra" for it! Thanks, Squarespace!
